Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. The service
FireWand ("we", "us") is a web-based interface for browsing and editing data in Google Cloud Firebase and Data Connect (PostgreSQL) projects that you connect and authorize. FireWand acts on your behalf using your own Google identity and IAM permissions — we never ask for or store a separate database password or a service account key.
2. Your Google Cloud access
To use FireWand you grant a Google OAuth authorization scoped specifically to Cloud SQL/Data Connect access and viewing your Google Cloud projects — not a general-purpose Google Cloud authorization. This lets FireWand read and write data in the Google Cloud projects you explicitly link, subject to your own IAM permissions on those projects — FireWand can never do more than your Google account is already allowed to do. FireWand does not store this authorization: your access expires on its own after about an hour, and you'll be asked to reconnect. Signing out, or revoking access from your Google Account permissions page, disables FireWand's access immediately.
3. Accounts and linked projects
The first Google Cloud project you link is free, permanently, and cannot be unlinked. Additional projects require a subscription — billed monthly ($1.99) or yearly ($19.99), your choice — charged via Stripe. This subscription is shared: once active, it unlocks linking as many additional projects as you want, it isn't billed per project. You can manage or cancel it at any time from the billing portal linked in your dashboard; unlinking an individual project only stops FireWand from showing it and does not, by itself, cancel the subscription. You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you view or modify through FireWand — changes made through the interface are applied directly to your underlying database.
4. Acceptable use
- You will not use FireWand to access projects or data you are not authorized to access.
- You will not attempt to circumvent FireWand's access controls, rate limits, or billing.
- You are responsible for complying with any laws or third-party agreements that apply to the data you manage through FireWand.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
FireWand is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent every possible data-editing mistake — always double-check destructive changes before confirming them.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FireWand and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, arising from your use of the service.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FireWand after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
